Patricia Ridley resides in Coolgardie, and she paints primarily of her country, the desert area of Kalgoorlie. Her painting strongly demonstrates her culture, consisting of many waterholes and the desert. Patricia's style is different to other Mowanjum artists because of her links to the desert. She is passionate about her lore, culture and language, and utilises her art to continue these traditions.
Patricia's love of art was sparked by her parents, who were keen artefact makers, crafting boomerangs and woomeras. Patricia has two children that live in the Mowanjum Community.
